CANTEEN INSTALLATION IN HULL PROJECT OVERVIEW

As part of a planned facility improvement programme, leading food manufacturer Cranswick appointed FSC to deliver a new staff canteen installation at its Hull production facility.

The project involved replacing the existing canteen with a modern environment designed to improve staff welfare and provide a more comfortable space for employees to relax during breaks.

FSC carried out a complete strip-out and refurbishment, delivering a contemporary, hygienic and easy-to-maintain staff dining environment.

The Client’s Challenge

Cranswick required a new canteen environment that would provide a more modern and practical space for staff while maintaining hygiene standards suitable for a food manufacturing environment.

The project required:

• Removal of the existing canteen and associated facilities
• A durable and hygienic interior finish
• Easy-to-clean surfaces suitable for food environments
• Installation of appliances and staff amenities
• A comfortable and welcoming environment for employees

The goal was to create a modern workplace dining space that improves staff welfare while supporting hygiene and maintenance requirements.

Our Solution

Following the removal of the existing canteen, FSC delivered a complete refurbishment, including:

• Ceramic wall and floor tile installation, including grey stone-effect floor tiles with ceramic skirting and white wall tiles with a navy feature band
• Suspended ceiling installation with integrated lighting, creating a clean and modern interior finish
• Mechanical and electrical works, including air conditioning, plumbing and electrical installations
• Furniture supply and installation, creating a comfortable staff seating area

• Bespoke joinery installation to house vending machines
• Appliance installation, including microwaves and refrigerators
• Finishing touches, including bins, dispensers and decorative elements to complete the environment

The result was a modern, hygienic and welcoming canteen environment.
