Leading UK food manufacturer Cranswick plc commissioned FSC to design and deliver a new staff canteen installation at its Sherburn-in-Elmet facility as part of a wider programme of workplace improvements.
The project aimed to create a welcoming and practical environment where employees could relax during breaks while reflecting the company’s ongoing investment in staff wellbeing and workplace facilities.
Working closely with external design partners Trundley Group, FSC developed a vibrant and functional canteen environment designed to meet the needs of daily users while remaining durable and easy to maintain.
Following a full strip-out of the existing canteen area, our team delivered a modern space combining robust materials, bespoke joinery and comfortable seating.

The Client’s Challenge
Cranswick required a modern staff canteen that would provide a comfortable break environment while remaining durable enough for everyday use within a busy food manufacturing facility.

- Furniture supply and installation, providing durable tables and seating
- Non-slip oak-effect LVT flooring installation, ideal for food environments
- Bespoke joinery installation, creating custom housing for vending machines
- Soft seating booth installation, offering comfortable seating areas
- Interior decoration, including brand-aligned wall finishes
- Custom printed wall mural installation, enhancing the visual identity of the space
- Television installation, providing entertainment and information for staff
