May 2023 Projects Update
MAY 2023 PROJECTS UPDATE
We’re now mid-way through 2023, and as summer approaches we enter what is traditionally the construction industry’s busy period. Here is what the FSC team have achieved over the previous month:
CONSTRUCTION & MAINTENANCE
Our construction & maintenance operatives have been up and down the country working on the following projects:
Thorne – We start in In South Yorkshire, where work continues on two projects with the Real Yorkshire Pudding Company:
- Our team is constructing an extension to their existing facility. This extension gives the Real Yorkshire Pudding Company a dedicated environment to produce gluten-free products to prevent contamination.
- In addition to the factory extension, we are working with the Real Yorkshire Pudding Company on a separate insulation project. We are replacing EPS panels with more efficient PIR Panels.
Hull – On the north bank of the Humber, we are currently administering scheduled general repairs for long-standing client Cranswick Foods.
Elsham – Meanwhile on the south bank, work continues on our roof pod enlargement and machinery installation project for an international pharmaceutical packaging company.
Redruth – In Cornwall, we are converting an industrial unit into a food production facility.
Sunderland – In the northeast, works are ongoing on two projects with well-known turkey product manufacturer Bernard Matthews. These include:
- Office refurbishment
- Canteen refurbishment
- Factory alteration
Sherburn-in-Elmet – In north Yorkshire, we implemented essential factory alterations for the confectionary brand Kinnerton.
Grimsby – We complete this month’s construction & maintenance roundup on our doorstep. We are working with two of the UK’s biggest seafood processors on a plethora of projects.
- Work continues on our multi-stage facility extension project for New England Seafood International, you can see updates on this project on our LinkedIn page. Elsewhere on-site, were are currently delivering an office refurbishment for the business.
- We are also working on several concurrent projects for Hilton Seafood over several of their Grimsby sites, these include a pipe bridge extension, cold store to dispatch conversion and we have completed the creation of a new product development kitchen.

RESIN FLOORING
Our resin flooring team has had a manic month have completed projects at the following sites:
Grimsby – Hilton Seafoods
Bungay – 2 Sisters Food Group
Thorne – Real Yorkshire Pudding
Sunderland – Bernard Matthews
Rotherham – Grupo Bimbo
Scunthorpe – Billington
OTHER COMMERCIAL & INDUSTRIAL FLOORING
On top of our work for domestic clients across the region, the FSC Flooring Division team has worked on the following commercial projects:
Immingham – Our team have installed carpet tiles and vinyl flooring for fertiliser product supplier PB Kent in an open-office environment.
Lincoln – We also implemented essential safety flooring repairs for the Daisy Made Dairy Farm.
Louth – We have embarked on a new project at Louth Lower Academy. The project involves the installation of carpet tiles in a new office block.
Sunderland – Our team have also been involved in the office refurbishment project at Bernard Matthews. We have installed new carpet tiles and safety flooring.
Waltham – Finally, we have completed a safety flooring installation for a care home refurbishment.
