The Eve Appeal Partnership Announcement

We are delighted to announce that we have chosen the UK’s gynaecological cancer research charity The Eve Appeal as our charity partner for the coming year.

We hope to raise £4,000 for The Eve Appeal, the leading UK national charity funding vital research and raising awareness into the five gynaecological cancers. These are womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal.

 Sharon Brown, Director, said: “As a business, we regularly support causes both locally and nationally. We are committed to fundraising for organisations where we feel we can make a real difference, and The Eve Appeal is no different. As a firm in a male-dominated trade, we wanted to open peoples eyes to something they would not usually see, but yet, it affects us all in one way or another. We also see this as an opportunity to bring women and the construction industry closer together. Having more females in our industry is something we as a business are passionate about.”

“We have penned lots of fundraising ideas already, and despite everything surrounding the pandemic, we hope to do as much as we can. Fundraising events in the pipeline include Quiz nights, charity football matches, dress down days and even an office tuck-shop. We will also be taking part in some of the amazing events and challenges already planned by the charity. The whole team is looking forward to working together to raise as much money as we can to help The Eve Appeal to provide even more excellent research and services for even more people.”

Kate Redding, Partnerships Manager for The Eve Appeal, added: “We are delighted to be selected as Charity of the Year by Food Sector Construction. To see a business from such a male-dominated industry proactively take an interest in supporting our research and awareness-raising objectives is very refreshing to see. Gynae cancers aren’t just a women’s issue, they are everyone’s issue and FSC are demonstrating this. We can’t wait to see what fundraising activities the team get up to.”
