June 2023 Projects Update
The past month has been an active one to say the very least, and the team have engaged in projects across the UK. Here is an update on the ongoing and completed projects in June.
Construction & Maintenance
On the construction and maintenance front, June has been another busy month:
Grimsby – We begin our roundup in our hometown of Grimsby. FSC is currently working on the following projects;
- Work continues on our multi-stage facility extension project for New England Seafood International, you can see updates on this project on our LinkedIn page. Elsewhere on-site, were are currently delivering an office refurbishment for the business.
- We are also working on several concurrent projects for Hilton Seafood over several of their Grimsby sites, these include a pipe bridge extension, cold store to dispatch conversion and we have completed the creation of a new product development kitchen.
Thorne – At the west end of the M180, our team continues to deliver on two projects with the Real Yorkshire Pudding Company:
- We are constructing an extension to their existing facility. The completed project gives the Real Yorkshire Pudding Company a dedicated environment to produce gluten-free products to prevent contamination.
- As well as the above extension, we are working with the Real Yorkshire Pudding Company on a separate insulation project. We are replacing EPS panels with more efficient PIR Panels.
Elsham – On the A15, works continue on our roof pod enlargement and machinery installation project for an international pharmaceutical packaging company.
Mexborough – In South Yorkshire, we are on site at Grupo Bimbo, delivering factory upgrades and general repairs.
Sherburn-in-Elmet – In North Yorkshire, we are working with the confectionary manufacturer, Kinnerton to make alterations to their current facility.
Sunderland – In the northeast, works are ongoing on two projects with well-known turkey product manufacturer Bernard Matthews. These include:
- Office refurbishment
- Canteen refurbishment
- Factory alteration
Hull – On the north bank of the Humber, we are currently attending Cranswick Country Foods where we are implementing some factory alterations and general repairs.
Redruth – Finally, from one end of the country to the other. In Cornwall, we are converting an industrial unit into a seafood production facility.

RESIN FLOORING INSTALLATIONS
Our resin flooring team have worked tirelessly over June to deliver hygienic and durable surfaces in the following locations:
Grimsby – In our hometown, we have delivered resin flooring installations for Hilton Seafoods and New England Seafoods.
Sunderland – Bernard Matthews.
Bungay – 2 Sisters Food Food Group.
Sherburn-in-Elmet – Kinnerton Confectionary.
Thorne – The Real Yorkshire Pudding Company.
Mexbrorough – New York Bakery

OTHER COMMERCIAL & INDUSTRIAL FLOORING
In addition to completing works for domestic clients across the region, the FSC Flooring Division team have delivered the following commercial and industrial projects:
Wrawby – At the village pub, The Jolly Miller, we installed artificial grass in their wooden patio area, and we’ll post a before and after next week.
Louth – More work at Louth Lower Academy, where we’ve installed a variety of floor surfaces and various areas of their complex.
Cleethorpes – At Cleethorpes Memorial Hall, we have installed new wood-effect safety flooring around the stage and steps environment.
Grimsby – We have delivered two projects in Grimsby in June. We have replaced the safety flooring in the canteen at DFDS. In addition to this, we have also laid pink carpet tiles at a new dance studio due to open.
