CRANSWICK FOODS SHERBURN ALTERATION PROJECT OVERVIEW

Producer and supplier of premium, fresh and added-value food products Cranswick Foods, approached us with a brief. The brand required various changes to one of its production sites.

Due a to shift in Cranwick’s business needs, there was a call for internal layout changes to their Sherburn-in-Elmet site. Changes to the factory involved reducing the size of their dry storage area. The reason for this change was to make room for extra space for packing operations. In addition to this, the client also required the installation of firewalls.

PROJECT BENEFITS

Because of the alterations at their Sherburn-in-Elmet site, the Cranswick now benefits from:

Increased packing capabilities – The packing area of the site increased 40%

Improved health and safety infrastructure – The installed firewalls will contain flames and high temperatures, and support its full load, for at least one hour after a fire begins.

LOCATION: SHERBURN-IN-ELMET

Completed suspended ceiling installation in the new packing area.

A steel frame was erected to separate sections of the factory. In addition to this, the installed walling is both food safe and fire retardant for 1hr.

Cranswick employees were segregated, allowing works to occur without disruption to business operations.
